Why Join Mu-Psi?

Want more from your college experience? Kappa Sigma makes it happen. With over 250,000 initiated brothers, Kappa Sigma is one of the largest fraternities in the nation. Joining Kappa Sigma provides opportunities and experiences unmatched anywhere else. Countless CEO’s, governors, celebrities, athletes, and senators have been molded by Kappa Sigma, learning the leadership and skills needed to succeed. With the leadership, comes scholarship. Kappa Sigma provides a quarter of a million dollars annually in scholarships, more than any other fraternity in the world. With the future road ahead, Kappa Sigma will provide you with the skills to be successful, meet people, and offer more opportunities than you could ask for.

  • Kappa Sigma is one of the largest nationally recognized college fraternities.
  • Kappa Sigma is the leader of all American fraternities in terms of pledges and new initiates per year, service hours, and philanthropic donations.
  • The Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund is the oldest college fraternity foundation in the United States.
  • Kappa Sigma has annual fraternity-wide conferences over the summer, which have most recently taken place in San Antonio and New Orleans. This summer it will be held in Las Vegas.
  • We hold over 80 active brothers and stand as one of the largest chapters on campus.
  • Our chapter consistently receives awards, and is a member of the 2011 District of the Year.
  • Our alumni support is the best on campus. Our alumni are very active within our chapter and offer many opportunities for brothers after graduation.
  • Our chapter boasts the highest cumulative GPA of any fraternal organization at Boston University.
  • Study Hall: Kappa Sigmas must maintain their grades. A balance should be met between school work and Fraternity activities. We hold study hours for all pledges and brothers that range from 10-14 hours a week. This may sound excessive but a vast majority of pledges make their grade requirements because of these study sessions.
  • Community Service: Kappa Sigmas participate in local community service events every semester. This past year we clocked in over 3,000 hours and donated over $5,798. A list of previous events and fundraisers as well as organizations benefitted by the Mu Psi chapter include:
    ADPi Powderpuff 2010
